Penelope M. Mawuenyega

A lawyer and a notary public, Mrs. Mawuenyega possesses over a decade of legal practice at the Ghana Bar.  Corporate clients have the benefit of her multi-disciplinary experience of local, international and emerging markets combined with significant experience in deal structure, negotiation and analytical skills in legal, regulatory as well as compliance issues. Not least is her in-depth understanding of the Ghana Legal System and Business Law climate.


As added value to our international clients, Mrs Mawuenyega speaks Spanish and French having attained a BA (Hons) Law and Spanish (University of Ghana, 1994).  On completion of the Professional Bar Certificate (Ghana School of Law, 1996), she undertook and completed a course on International Construction Law and Practice (Hawkesmere Training, Cambridge University, England, 1999).  


This was followed in 2003 by a divergence from the legal path to a Certificate in Public Relations, Marketing and Communications (Ghana Institute of Journalism). Mrs Mawuenyega is also the recipient of a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (CBA) (Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration [GIMPA, 2004]). 


Mrs. Mawuenyega has recently successfully completed a Masterclass in Oil and Gas Commercial Contracts (Terrapinn Financial Training Dubai, 2009).


Kwame Akyianu, Esq.

Mr Akyianu has successfully managed a career spanning over twenty years during which he has honed and developed an unparallel expertise in due diligence, debt recovery, private sector development, securitization and restructuring as well as regulatory compliance and governance. He employs his formidable research skills in negotiating, drafting, reviewing and enforcing commercial agreements.

Mr Akyianu is an alumnus of the University of Ghana, Legon where he obtained a B.A (Hons) English and Classics (1988). Embarking on a European sojourn in 1990, Mr Akyianu received a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Cite Associates, UK [1995]), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law (BPP Law School, UK [1996]). On his return to Ghana, Mr Akyianu completed the Professional Bar Certificate (Ghana School of Law, 1998).



Rainer Akumperigya, Esq

Rainer Akumperigya, is an associate counsel of the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc.) from the University for Development Studies and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Ghana. He is enrolled as a member of the Ghana Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Akumperigya holds a Ghana Securities Industry Certificate from the Ghana Stock exchange (2004) and has served on various national boards and committees at different times and in different capacities; notably

- Member, Ghana AIDS Commission (2002 – 2003)

- Member, National Economic Dialogue (NED) Team under the auspice of the Ministry of Economic Planning and Regional Integration (2002 – 2003)

- Member, World AIDS Day Planning Committee-Ghana (2002 – 2003)

- Co-Chairman, National Constitutional Week Planning Committee (2003)

- Member, University Council – University of Development Studies 1999 – 2000)

N. Atanga Ayamdoo, Esq

N. Atanga Ayamdoo is an associate counsel of the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the Kwame N’krumah University of Science and Technology (KUNST, Kumasi). He is enrolled as a member of the Ghana Bar Association.


E. K. Jones-Mensah, Esq.

E. K. Jones-Mensah an outstanding lawyer belonging to the honourable Society of Gray’s Inn (England), is a legal consultant to Tometi Legal Consult. As a retired judge of the Superior Courts of the Republic of Ghana and a former Attorney General of West Cameroon, he brings an incredible wealth of over fifty years legal expertise and experience to the firm. He is also a notary public and he holds an LLB degree from the University of London and a Postgraduate diploma (D.L.D) from Belfast.





Office Manager

Mrs. Rosina Roberts-Mensah established her credentials and gained invaluable experience as a Legal Personal Assistant and Chief Administrative Officer with some of the United Kingdom’s leading Legal Firms, including a period of ten years as Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Office of Olswang, a top Legal 500 firm located in the City of London.

She is responsible for Human Resource Development, Training, Recruitment, Customer Care, Record keeping, Practice Development as well as all the attendant and associated functions of running the organization.


Executive Assistant / Researcher

Miss Fafa Tetteh is an experienced Bilingual Executive Secretary and Front Desk Administrator. She was previously employed by the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMS), The Ghana Institute of Bilingual Studies, M & J Group of Companies among others.

Charging Policy
By providing comprehensive general counsel services to small business owners and larger professional partners alike, we give our clients the benefits of an in-house legal department at a fraction of the cost.

We maintain a flexible approach to our billing. Clients may opt for contingent fees, hourly billing, flat fee or a combination of all three.

Fees are negotiable and within the range of charges recommended and approved by the Ghana Bar Association.
